Just made the first comic update since coming home. It is difficult to do here what with the dial up and such.
Here's my plan for the summer:
Get a job, full or almost full time.
Move out of my parents' place.
Finish Memento or whatever the fuck I decide to call it. Try to publish it for reals.
Start a new webcomic. Probably a M-F black and white strip.
Put together a Tokyopop submission.

Had a sudden dentist appointment this morning. My teeth are success though. Mom made me schedule my next appointment (In november) despite the fact that it will inevitably need to be changed. I don't have a job now but definitely will have something by November, even if it's just a shit job. I'll probably be working on a bunch of other stuff then too (games, comics, books, etc.).

Some realizations:
My parents' house is so cluttered that I physically cannot unpack. It's a good thing I'm not planning on staying here very long.
My attempts to fill out job applications online have been stifled by the shitty internet here. Note that here we only have one internet.

Unrelated: I'm thinking of renaming Memento to Memento: Nemo Hic Adest Ililus Nominus or just Nemo Hic Adest Ililus Nominus. It's not easy to remember though. Perhaps "There is No One Here by That Name" would be better? I think I'm bad at titles, "The Rift" is a bad title too.
I may try to get it published when it's done.

I'm home, so to speak. I has a diploma, a BS in psych diploma.
Mom got kinda mad at me because we went to get food after graduation instead of waiting in line for the free, not-very-good food they had at the college. I told her where I was going and why. I have witnesses. Yet she insisted that I didn't and got really mad at me.
A similar thing happened when Mark graduated high school.

So we got home, there is no way in hell that all my stuff is going to fit into my room. It was kinda full before anything was even brought back. I need a job and a place like, now.

Also I get back and before I even step foot in the house Mom tells me two things of bad news: someone broke into our garage and stole our lawnmower, air compressor, and a couple of other big expensive equipmenty things.
Also my dog died.

Graduating today. Am wearing approximately 80% of SPAH costume, sans gloves, mask, and weapons. Did bind boobs down for nice, boyish silhouette. V. disappointed that I have to cover it with cap and gown.
Got ready today while narrating what I was doing in my head as if I were making a guide on how to do it.
Also: my underwear today has penguins on it. Spy loev pengins.

I just thought of a mad, insane, crazyfuck idea. Maybe it's cause it's 3 in the morning and I've been watching random shit on youtube.
I probably won't actually do this, as it would take billions of hours in MS paint but the idea amuses me.
So AMVs: People make them. They show them at cons. Sometimes there are prizes if you make a good one. Most are not so good.
What if I made one for an anime that doesn't exist? I could make all the animations myself and if I did it good enough probably no one could tell that it wasn't from an actual, if low budget, show. They'd just think it was something obscure they hadn't heard of.
I wonder if I'd get in trouble when people realized the video was a spy all along.

My leftovers from yesterday are packed into a tupperware dish as if it were a bento. This amuses me.

I just finished my first, last, and only exam that I actually have to go in for. It started at 9:00 and had a three hour time slot, was back in my room by 9:31. I literally picked up my phone to check the time and watched it change. I still have one paper left to write before 2:00 PM tomorrow. I haven't started but I made some notes, one of which says "Windmills are awesome."

Speaking of, Travis or Misty or someone else who may know, where is Will Briggs' office? I gotta take my senior sym papers there but have no fucking clue as to the location.

If he stabs me in the back I'm gonna kill his dog.

I am particularly hungry right now, but mostly out of food.

Got ACAT scores back today. The ACAT is a psych grad school placement test we took a month or so ago in our sort of capstone psych class. Apparently I am awesome and scored in the 81st percentile. They use a standard bellcurve for the stats so 50th is considered average for a person with a bachelors in psych. As far as the breakdown goes apparently I am ridiculously good at Sensation and Perception related knowledge and not good at Cognitive Psych (but I never took cog so it makes sense).

Things to do today:
-go to store
-find a food and eat it
-get new markers
-draw a comique* page
-go to class
-write a paper
-?????
-profit!

I still have two papers to write before thursday, a take home exam before friday, and a normalish exam on wednesday morning. After that I'm done. No more college work unless I decide to go to grad school or decide to get a second (third?) degree.
I am fucking edumacated.

-I'm almost done wit mah drawing class, yay.

-I saw a certain pothead that sings the end to sanity in the art room, he was painting a psychedelically colored gondola (the Venice kind).

-I also saw a squirrel with mange.

-There's a lot of space left in the sketchbook I had to buy for that class. Once it's been checked and my professor will never see it again, I intend to draw porn in it.

List of homeworks still left to do:
paper for History and Systems (5+ pages by Tuesday)
two papers for Senior Symposium (3 pages each by Thursday)
creative writing exam (however long it takes by sometime next week)
probably have an exam in health (lol dunno)

So today I was supposed to do a group presentation and essentially teach class. I left 10 minutes earlier than normal so I'd be there with plenty of time, powerpoint on a thumb drive in my pocket.
My group was smaller than the rest, only two of us when everyone else had three people, and I barely know my partner. I barely know anyone in the class really. Most groups did two days, we lucked out and only had to do one.

So we met last week to finalize everything, go over our slides, etc. Mine were done at this point. Class got canceled last Thursday so we got pushed to today. I get an email from partner saying she was gonna wait to finish her slides since the class was pushed back. I'm like, s'okay I probably would have done the same thing.

She sent me her slides last night, I drop 'em in to my presentation and stick the whole shebang on my thumb drive. I am prepared for class.

I go in this morning and... the computer doesn't work. It was somehow disconnected from the server so no one can login. Yeah. A few people fiddle with it, no one can get it working. Not surprising, considering I'm usually the one who spontaneously fixes computer problems in my classes.

Also my partner did not show up.

Someone is stretching my friends page. They should stop.

I am exceedingly tired even though I got plenty of sleep last night. I developed some kind of weird rash on my arms, legs, and neck earlier this week. I think it was an allergic reaction of some sort. It seems to have gone away now though.
I've finished some of the shit I had to do, but also got new shit from that drawing class I hate. We have to make rubbings and draw them. I'm not joking, that's part of the assignment.
Here I will tell you about it:
1: Make sixteen rubbings in various media of various textures
2: Mount those rubbings in a collage on a big paper
3: Draw eight of those rubbings in some kind of collage
4: Make more rubbings in order to recreate a carefully blended charcoal drawing I did earlier in the semester.

We have one week to do this. 1 and 2 are fairly doable, 3 is painful but feasible for me since I work about twice as fast as everyone else in the class. Most of them had not finished their previous assignment yet. 4 is completely retarded and I'm gonna try to get out of doing it. Perhaps by pointing out that we only have a week left and the teacher thinks we have two.

I had a dream last night in relation to that class. We have to submit something to the student art show so I put in this charcoal pumpkin I did earlier.
So in the dream this official person comes up to me and is like "your picture is a hit!"
And I'm like "Cool" but I'm a little confused because it's just a fucking pumpkin.
And they're like "you have to change it or Disney is gonna sue you"
I'm like "The fuck?"
They're like "copyright something"
And I'm like "no, you can't copyright drawings of pumpkins"
The rest of the dream went on in this vein, official person arguing that Disney owns the rights to all pumpkins and their likenesses and me arguing that no this is stupid.

It is too goddamn cold today. We finally got warm weather and now it's cold again.

I also hit the end of semester crunch, maybe for the last time. I have to make a powerpoint and teach class on thursday, write a vaguely defined paper for that class, write two more papers for senior sym, design about eight exercise plans for myself and pretend I'm going to do them by monday. Also I have to draw some makeup art for that drawing class. I really wish I could have taken it pass-fail now.

I don't know if I should be more pissed about the amount of work or the fact that it's all bullshit.

Everytime I see that "Inspi(RED)" shirt I think it says "Insip(ED)"

There's been a lot of talk lately about what I'm doing after graduation. Apparently my plans are too simple for most people's tastes. I'm looking into jobs, posted my resume on craigslist and shit. I've only gotten one response though and it's kinda scammy looking. I'll try again once I can legitimately say I have a B.S.
Travis, Taelor and I are looking into getting an apartment for summer (for them, longer for me) but there is a possibility of renting a bigger house for fairly cheap so I'm kinda hoping for that.

In other news I did my last workshop for creative writing on Thursday. Several of the comments people put on my story (Independently of one another) were like OMG publish this. One said "you should become a famous sci-fi writer." I loled but I think I may actually try and get it published. I want to finish it at least. I doubt I could ever be a professional fiction writer but having a real book would be pretty fucking sweet.

In other other news: Danville, VA is a place where you can randomly see a limousine double-parked across like 6 spaces in front of a pawn shop. There are two ways it could have arrived there, 1: someone who rides in or drives a limo also uses the pawn shop or 2: someone pawned a limo.

Today David sent me a link to a site where you can read scanslations in your browser. Neat.
I read a couple of chapters of Naruto from where I left off over a year ago and realized that I really don't care anymore. It may be partially due to the fact that I left off at a point that featured none of the characters I really liked but still bluh, don't give a shit anymore.

Also mom called me the other day to yell at me for having so much money left in my express account (the fake money I use for food at LC). I successfully bought like $50 worth of juice and food for everybody.

Also, also I find lately that a lot of my music makes me want to go outside and live an eccentric bohemian lifestyle/ be a professional artfag. Danville really needs that bohemian district; I don't think we even have a fucking art gallery.

I don't want to go to class, but I'm actually awake this morning so I'd better go.

Anyway here's a silly anecdote from last night:

My friend Laura has a new male companion, he came down to visit her on Thursday. She brought him over, he seems nice enough, kinda naive though. He had a bit of a nerdgasm over some of the stuff I had in the house (Gaara plush in the front hallway, Lightsaber in the kitchen, Final Fantasy action figures on top of the fridge). Doesn't drink or go on the internet though. He didn't know what Penny Arcade was. How do you game and not know PA?

Anyway last night Laura tells me that Josh (her boy) told her that he has a friend that's like 25, for me. Naturally my response is something along the lines of blurgh lolwhut?
Did I mention that Laura's Josh lives in Maryland? Assumedly as does his friend. Who, by the way, I know nothing about besides his age. Maryland is not close to here, and is even more not close to Danville where I will likely be living after graduation.

This is what we scientists call "silly." Laura agreed.
Anyway I said I'd at least meet the guy if he came down here to Lynchburg, because that is the courteous thing to do.
Still, this is silly.

In other news I've had this Utena layout for a long long time, I'm thinking I need to change it up soon.
